Don’t Miss the Party!

WEEK OF FIRE 2011, DAY FIVE
Passage: Luke 14:16-20
Speaker: Sis. Jet Versoza, The Party Expert!

God is a party-planner! In fact, His first miracle was when He turned water into wine in a, you got it, party. Life in the kingdom of God is a feast, a celebration! God’s PARTY is greater than any parties in the world. Everyone is invited to God’s party, but often, we have all the excuses in the world to not show up!

Some Christians feel lonely and do not really want to go to church. We’d rather go to parties than go to church. Many of us lost our desire to serve God. We focus more on ourselves. We cry over our own problems. We look at ourselves instead of God.

Let us let go of all the issues that we have to God. Move on! Don’t deal with those issues anymore. Sometimes we become unproductive and unfruitful because of our own selfishness. We bring back old issues. We become slaves of the issues in our lives. But hey, God came to give us life and that we may live an abundant life. He wants us to have a fruitful life. How can you focus on abundance if you are still facing all your old issues? Let us surrender to the Lord all the issues that we have in our lives. They eat upon us and slowly but surely you are getting further and further away from God.

Excuses, excuses:

  1. Personal Possessions
  2. Work or Business
  3. Family and Relationships

It is very easy to commit to the Lord, but when the event finally comes, you very easily make excuses. “Lord, this is a legitimate excuse. You are a very understanding God,” we would say. But we always take God for granted. It frustrates me a lot when I invite somebody to a party and he agreed to come but didn’t! You can create a lot of excuses because you are really not interested in coming. You are excited at first, and then excuses just naturally comes. Instead of preparing for God, we justify our not coming with excuses.

If your heart is in your business or profession, it very easily eats your heart out since you are thoroughly focused on it. We have to trust God and let us surrender to Him. We should not be afraid if we trust God.

Personally, I can very easily make excuses for me not to speak tonight because of the many problems I have at the office. But God does not accept excuses. We’re always too busy for God.. but what if God becomes too busy for us?

We’re in God’s guest list, and everyone’s invited. Our responsibility now is to invite everyone to experience this abundant life in Him. Our Week of Fire is to prepare us for the party next week, the Conquest! “I am expecting you in my banquet!,” God says. We have committed to Him that we will come, so let us come!

Rise up and go to the party of God Pwede ang gatecrasher sa party na to! The focus of the party is the unbeliever We will share the message of salvation. We will invite them to the party.  Are we ready for the conquest? If you want to walk with God, then attend the party. Our responsibility is to invite!

Use all your resources so that you can invite as many as you can. Use your car, even if you have to fetch them. Let us use everything so that we can reach out all those whom we plan to invite. We have to be ready because this is a battle. I want to encourage everyone to talk to the Lord. Surrender to Him all the issues you have in your life. God could not use an unclean vessel. God has a very big plan for your life, allow Him to work in it! Do not go back to your old failures. God loves you, he cares about you, don’t let failure identify you. Place them at the feet of Jesus and let them go.

PRAYER: Lord, we surrender everything to you, Help us to experience the life that you have promised to us. I praise you Lord Jesus. Lord help us to trust you. Help us to give up everything to you. Thank you for how you are working. Help us to share your love to all our neighbors. Thank you Lord Jesus, thank you Lord Jesus. Amen!

Qualities that Qualify you for the Multitudes

Speaker: Bro. Asser “Bong” Tamayo

Jesus’ vision was WORLD CONQUEST, and He was very strategic! He started with 12.

Qualifications for the multitudes:

  1. Spirit of GIVING. Give up your world to Jesus!
  2. Spirit of OBEDIENCE & SUBMISSION. If there are arguments, always let Jesus win!
  3. Spirit of HARD WORK. Soul-winning is the greatest work in the world!

The day PETER surrendered his life to Christ, his whole world changed. From being a mere FISHERMAN, he became a FISHER OF MEN.

Change the name *PETER* to your own name, and the profession, “FISHERMAN” to your own profession, and may this statement become true for your life as well.

Passage: 2 Kings 7:3-8

What is your worst fear? Are you afraid to die?

Die fighting rather than die hiding. Patay kung patay!

  1. Know your POSITION. (Are you in or out?)
  2. Find out your PURPOSE.

The Spirit of the Armor Bearer

WEEK OF FIRE 2011, DAY ONE
Passage: 1 Samuel 14:1-5
Speaker: Pator Larry Macabante

Israelites were at war against armies bigger than them! They need a miracle!

Jonathan, son of Saul, was against conformity and mediocrity. He was willing to risk it all, but he had victory in mind!

The “Amour Bearer”, on the other hand, whose name was not mentioned and origin unknown, was also willing to risk his life in loyalty to his master. His life was not his own.

What does it take to conquer? One has to have the spirit of the armor bearer:

  1. Heart in the right place
  2. Heart to win the battle
  3. Willingness to go the extra mile
  4. Focused on finishing the task.

Challenge: Can God trust you with the multitudes? Are you willing to sacrifice for the people God sacrificed His life for? Are you ready to go at war and see a “God-sent panic” happen in your world?
