Praise the Lord, O my soul!
How good it is to give thanks to you, O Lord,
to sing in your honor,
to proclaim your constant love every morning
and your faithfulness every night.
Your mighty deeds, O Lord, make us glad
because of what you have done, we sing for joy.
I will proclaim your greatness, my God and king;
I will thank you forever and ever.
Every day I will thank you; I will praise you forever and ever.
What you have done will be praised from one generation to the next;
they will proclaim your mighty acts.
They will speak of your glory and majesty,
and we will meditate on your wonderful deeds.
People will speak of your mighty deeds,
and we will proclaim your greatness.
We will tell about all your goodness and sing about your kindness.
All your creatures, Lord, will praise you,
and all your people will give you thanks.
They will speak of the glory of your power
and tell of your might, so that everyone will know your mighty deeds
and the glorious majesty of your kingdom.
Your rule is eternal, and
you are king forever and ever.
Our Father in heaven, we believe in you: As the one who designed and created everything there is; As the one who willed us into life; As the one who gave us birth, not once, but twice; And adopted us into your family.
O Lord, you are our Father and our Maker. We recognize your complete ownership of our lives. For you have bought us with a price… with the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our lives, our whole being, our days–are all on loan from you to us, and we are responsible to hand them back to you in a lifetime of service. Help us to match works to our faith, to express our love for you not in lip service, but in practical ways we can do to benefit others.
Thank you, Jesus, that because of you, we are like a sweet-smelling aroma to God. Godly living, Lord, which includes the proclamation of your gospel, shows who you are to people around us…people we are in touch with… people in dire need of a Savior. Thank you, Lord, for constantly reminding us that sharing the gospel to as many people as you will allow us to reach, is a MUST for us, your children. Teach us to speak the truth of the gospel–plainly, clearly, and with purity of motive. Help us, Lord, to do our part in fulfilling the Great Commission that we may eventually see multitudes coming to you, worshiping you and serving you through SBCC. Enable us, Father, to be faithful in fulfilling our vision and commitment to win souls and make disciples.
Lord, what a wonderful reminder that we need your grace, for without it we are hopeless. The most loving act that we can perform is to show people around us your love and grace, which we have experienced first hand.
Lord, help us to realize each day that we must also be messengers and channels of your grace to our brothers and sisters in you, to our family in the faith. Always make us realize that we also must care for our pastors and staff who have given their lives to serve you. Remind us, prompt us, prod us, urge us, Father, to pray for them constantly, that they may be protected from the evil one, that they may faithfully do the work which you have called them to do, that they may experience your blessings abundantly.
Sustain our ministries, Lord… ministries that reach out to people. Use these ministries to bring more people to you, to have more people come to your saving grace and knowledge so that our church will be filled with people who praise you and honor you and glorify you.
Thank you, Father, that in you, we can experience joy as we do all of the things you want us to do in love.
Thank you, Lord, for listening. We love you Father. We love you Jesus. We love you Holy Spirit. To you alone, our God, we bring glory and praise and honor. In Jesus Name. Amen.
