How the Encounter and Week of Fire Ignited the Flame in my heart!

Truly God is alive and actively working in our lives.

When I was in high school, I was on fire for the Lord. God gave me the desire to share the unconditional love that I was experiencing from Him. I was so passionate in sharing what I know He did for me to my classmates.

For a period of time, the fire within me slowly faded. I became timid, a complainer, and a worrier. I had no connection to God. My negativity and weaknesses took over me. This just tells us that when we serve God it is only by His grace that we can do effectively, when we are not connected we will be tired and just slip away.

What an awesome time to celebrate SBCC’s 37th anniversary!

37 years is no easy feat. Not all churches can last that long and not all people can say they’ve stayed in one church throughout their lifetime. I have been part of SBCC since I was in my Mom’s womb, perhaps singing hymns with her. And from my Sunday school days at Lerma, it has been my venue to grow not only spiritually but in every aspect of my being. If not for our firm foundation—Jesus Christ—I could have gone astray and left the church.

Hindi natin maexplain pero nakakatuwang makita ang bawat myembro ng SBCC ay sama samang nagdarasal at nag aayuno nung week of fire. Clearly, God is doing something in our midst that we haven’t seen or experienced before. And it’s only just the beginning. Naniniwala ako na marami pang gagawin si Lord na magdudulot ng sobrang kagalakan sa puso Nya. And as we please God, we ourselves are blessed. Oh what a privilege! More of you, Lord, more of you!
